The Yokohama Avid S33 is an all-season tire with H, S, or T-speed rate. It is specifically designed for sedans, minivans, and coupes.

The tire has an all-season tread pattern to give drivers reliable traction on both wet and dry road surfaces. The two-steel belt construction provides additional durability and strength.

But how well does the Yokohama Avid S33 performs in all weather conditions?

Let’s find out.

Is the Yokohama Avid S33 Good for Rain and Snow?

The Yokohama Avid S33 is a good all-season tire. However, users say that its traction on ice and snow needs more improvement.

Though it has the Mountain/Snowflake symbol, don’t keep your hopes up. Users say that it doesn’t provide excellent winter performance.

It can only handle light snow.

Even so, hydroplaning is sometimes still a challenge.

That said, it does perform well in the rain.

The circumferential grooves provide extra assurance by removing water from the tread area. This gives the tires better handling, cornering, and traction on wet surfaces.

So if you live in an area with heavy and constant snow and rain, maybe the Yokohama Avid S33 isn’t the best tire for you.

Is the Yokohama Avid S33 Good for Dry Weather?

We can say a resounding, YES!

The Yokohama Avid S33 offers great stability and excellent traction on dry roads.

It has great control and maintains road contact at all times, improving driving stability and steering responsiveness. This provides a comfortable and secure driving experience.

What’s more, it features a symmetric tread design and large outside shoulder blocks to enhance comfort, cornering stability, and dry traction.

Overall, users are very satisfied with its excellent performance in dry weather!

So if you live in a hot area, then you can’t go wrong with the Yokohama Avid S33.

Is Yokohama Avid S33 Quiet?

Yes! The Yokohama Avid S33 provides a quiet ride in all weather conditions.

This is expected as Yokohama tires are known to be one of the quiet mid-range tires. The minimal noise it produces makes driving a more comfortable experience.

But, since these tires are mid-range, you can’t expect them to be as quiet as high-end brands like Goodyear.

Still, we hear a lot of great reviews about the minimal noise that the Avid S33 produces.

Yokohama Avid S33 Warranty

Yokohama provides a limited 5-year warranty or free replacement on the materials for the first 2/32” wear. You should provide proof of purchase to be eligible for a warranty.

If no proof is available, the Yokohama Avid S33 has a warranty of 72 months from the date of manufacture.

However, tires that are installed as original equipment and wear out due to neglect or misuse are not covered by this warranty.

Before you purchase the Yokohama Avid S33, always ask the salesperson about the warranty as it can be different for every store. This is a good practice so you won’t be caught off guard.

Should You Get the Yokohama Avid S33?

The Yokohama Avid S33 provides a comfortable and secure driving experience. We can’t deny that it has excellent handling, cornering, and traction on dry surfaces. The quiet ride and excellent road performance are a plus.

However, as an all-season tire, its performance in wet road conditions isn’t the best. Even more so when it comes to snow and ice.

So if you ask us, for a mid-range tire, the Yokohama Avid S33 is good enough, especially its performance in dry conditions. But, if you’re looking for a more reliable mid-range all-season tire when it comes to rain and snow performance, we recommend exploring more options.

But, of course, it’s YOUR decision.

So is it the tire for you?

You are the only one who can answer that question.

Good luck!
