The Firestone Destination LE 2 is an all-season tire designed for reliable performance in various weather conditions.

These tires are well-suited for year-round use.

Plus, it’s intended to offer a balance of traction, comfort, and longevity for everyday driving.

The Firestone Destination LE 2 can handle highway driving perfectly.

And although it isn’t an all-terrain tire, it does have some features that make it good for more off-road surfaces too.

But just how well does it perform in different weather conditions?

Let’s take a look…

Is the Firestone Destination LE 2 Good for Rain and Snow?

The Destination LE 2 is great when it comes to wet traction.

Its unique design, with silica-enhanced compound, symmetrical tread pattern, and circumferential grooves, allows for better grip and prevents hydroplaning.

The zigzag sipes and sweeping slots further improve traction on light snow.

Moreover, the Firestone Destination LE 2 offers great stability and braking even in heavy rain.

Okay, okay.

While it performs great in rain and light snow, it isn’t the best in heavy snow or icy surfaces.

The tire lacks the necessary softness in the tread. This means it can easily harden in very cold temperatures.

In turn, this will lead to decreased traction on ice and heavy snow.

Is the Firestone Destination LE 2 Good for Dry Weather?

You bet!

This is where the Firestone Destination LE 2 excels.

If it has great traction on wet roads — imagine how much more grip it’ll have on dry roads.

Again, this is all thanks to the silicon-enhanced compound, symmetrical tread pattern, and circumferential grooves.

Rest assured, you’ll get reliable performance and handling during dry weather driving.

Additionally, the closed shoulder blocks of the tire improve wear life.

All these features allow for better stability and responsiveness on dry roads.

Is the Firestone Destination LE 2 Quiet?

The Firestone Destination LE 2 is known for being quiet and providing a comfortable ride.

The polyester cord design contributes to a comfortable and quiet ride, regardless of the road conditions.

Firestone created the Destination LE 2 as a highway tire with a reputation for a smooth and quiet ride on paved roads.

When selecting the appropriate tire size for your vehicle, it’s crucial to refer to your vehicle’s owner’s manual.

This will help you choose the correct size that is recommended for your specific make and model.

Remember, using the correct tire size is essential for optimal performance, safety, and handling.

Tire Price

The Firestone Destination LE 2 is on the more pricey side.

The smaller-sized tires can start at already $180 per tire. Of course, you can expect the price to go up if you go for the bigger sizes.

That said, many people say the price is reasonable given its awesome features and performance.

As the saying goes…

You get what you pay for.

And if you pay a lot for these tires, then you’ll get a lot in return.

Tire Warranty and Lifespan

The Firestone Destination LE 2 comes with a tread life warranty of up to 60,000 miles.

This demonstrates Firestone’s confidence in the tire’s longevity.

However, it’s important to note that this warranty excludes LT (Light Truck) tires.

In case of any manufacturing defects or issues, the tire also has a workmanship and materials warranty that covers the first 5 years or until there is 2/32″ remaining tread depth.

Moreover, the workmanship and materials warranty includes FREE replacement for the first 3 years and then a prorated refund for the remaining period after the initial 3 years.

Of course, always check with the store retailer if these warranties are available.

Should You Get the Firestone Destination LE 2?

Honestly — it depends on your driving needs and priorities.
