The Goodyear Eagle RS-A is a high-performance, all-season tire. It serves as an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for many sporty cars.

The Goodyear Eagle RS-A combines a sports-focused appearance, all-season traction, durability, and both an H- and V-speed rate.

It all sounds very impressive.

But just how well does it perform?

Let’s find out below…

Is the Goodyear Eagle RS-A Good for Rain and Snow?

Get this.

The Goodyear Eagle RS-A is not the worst in wet conditions — but it’s not the best either.

It’s just good enough.

Thankfully, the tread pattern has four circumferential and lateral grooves that help evacuate water. This ensures that you’ll still have traction on wet surfaces.

This can also reduce hydroplaning.

As we said, nothing too outstanding here.

But it’s important to note that the Goodyear Eagle RS-A isn’t reliable in heavy winter weather. So maybe avoid it if you’re driving through these road conditions.

Is the Goodyear Eagle RS-A Good for Dry Weather?

This is where the Goodyear RS-A excels.

Even at high speeds, you’ll notice how sturdy the traction is. And this is thanks to its unique asymmetric tread design.

What’s more, the shoulder blocks and wide lateral grooves increase grip when cornering, as well as deliver steering response.

Also, the two nylon-reinforced steel belts in the tire provide strength and durability when driving at higher speeds.

So you can expect excellent performance in dry weather.

Is the Goodyear Eagle RS-A Quiet?

Goodyear’s unique asymmetric tread design helps the Eagle RS-A deliver a quiet ride.

Although this tire isn’t considered the quietest in its class, it certainly isn’t noisy.

So yes, you can enjoy a smooth, quiet ride with this.

Price

For its performance, the Goodyear Eagle RS-A is very reasonably priced.

The smallest tire size can cost around $100+. However, the bigger sizes and higher speed rates can go up to $250 to $300 per tire.

So the price will depend on what size and speed rate you need.

But when you think about its performance and the type of cars it’s designed for, we can consider this a “cheaper” option.

Warranty

Goodyear provides a limited warranty on the Eagle RS-A. Tire uniformity is guaranteed for one year or the first 2/32 inches of wear.

Materials & workmanship are guaranteed for 6 years — with a free replacement on the first year or 2/32 inches of wear.

Moreover, a prorated amount is provided by Goodyear until the remaining 2/32 inches of depth.

The Eagle RS-A is eligible for Goodyear’s Replacement Limited Warranty. This covers tire replacement for free or at a prorated price. Noise, vibrations, and tire roughness may also be covered.
