BFGoodrich G-Force T/A KDWS Review 2023: A High-Performance Tire For All Seasons

First launched in 2008, with additional sizes released the following year, the BFGoodrich G-Force T/A KDWS is an all-weather tire designed for high-performance vehicles.

Because of its all-season traction and other capabilities, it became one of the highest-rated tires of its generation, popular among racing enthusiasts as well as everyday drivers. It’s not every day that you will find an all-weather tire that offers excellent cornering force, handling, stability, traction, and tread wear.

The sad news is that the G-Force T/A KDWS is now marked as discontinued. However, it might still be available through a few distributors.

If by any chance you do find a set of G-Force T/A KDWS through your local dealer, this BFGoodrich G-Force T/A KDWS review will help you decide whether you should still try them.

So, keep reading.

BFGoodrich G-Force T/A KDWS Tire Type

The BFGoodrich G-Force T/A KDWS is an all-season tire, designed to suit most weather conditions. It features an all-weather tread compound called BlackTech and a technology called Equal Tension Containment System.

All-season tires aren’t meant to replace special tires from summer and winter, though. They do, however, do a decent job during moderate climates, including light snow.

Is the BFGoodrich G-Force T/A KDWS Good for Rain and Snow?

Yes, the G-Force T/A KDWS tires perform well on wet roads. Some users even report that the tires have nearly as much traction in the rain as they do on dry pavement.

The S-shaped variable grooves on the tread design allow confident traction in light snow. However, like most all-season tires, the BFGoodrich G-Force T/A KDWS can’t ever replace dedicated winter tires.

It can be a year-round, all-purpose tire, though, if you’re living in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, or anywhere that rarely gets snow.

Is the BFGoodrich G-Force T/A KDWS Good for Dry Weather?

The BFGoodrich G-Force T/A KDWS tires are best for dry weather. Some drivers, including sporty ones, even use them as summer tires because of their cornering, grip, and handling performance. They also offer outstanding dry traction.

One thing many users didn’t like, though, was the tread design. Many customers commented that for a sporty, high-performance tire, the G-Force T/A KDWS wasn’t exactly attractive.

Is the BFGoodrich G-Force T/A KDWS Quiet?

For an ultra-high-performance all-weather tire, the BFGoodrich G-Force T/A KDWS is quiet, but it could be quieter.

Nevertheless, it provides a smooth and comfortable ride without the noise most performance tires can’t be without.

BFGoodrich G-Force T/A KDWS Price

The BFGoodrich G-Force T/A KDWS was marketed as an affordable ultra-high-performance tire, and the cost starts at around $120.

BFGoodrich G-Force T/A KDWS Warranty and Lifespan

Like other BFGoodrich tires, the G-Force T/A KDWS comes with a standard six-year limited warranty, which includes materials and workmanship, as well as free replacement during the first year or first 2/32 inch of tire wear.

For a high-performance tire, the G-Force T/A KDWS has a surprisingly long lifespan. Many users report that they’ve driven a set of these for 40,000 miles or more, and they still performed pretty well and offered good handling and traction.

Conclusion: Is the BFGoodrich G-Force T/A KDWS Worth It?

The G-Force T/A KDWS is undoubtedly one of BFGoodrich Tires’ best product releases.

For an all-season tire, it provides longevity, versatility, and exceptional performance. It’s a bummer that it’s now discontinued and probably only available in very limited quantities.

If you chance upon a set of BFGoodrich G-Force T/A KDWS, though, we would still highly recommend them, but you should also take a look at some of the brand’s newer product offerings.
